I had a friend who loved to focus on the Seal script. Very ancient. One can more easily see the picto-graph origin of some of the characters - like water, mountain, etc. I think I was too impatient to get the precision, and focused on the flow of the Classic script. When I was in Xi'an, I was in heaven in the bookstores in the calligraphy stores neighborhood - I found a HUGE selection of books providing beautiful samples to inspire me. The problem was to limit myself to a few. :))
